Amro Abouesh brings a wealth of experience in the microfinance field. Having previously been Head of Microfinance and SMEs in the Bank of Alexandria, INTESA-SanPaolo, Amro has been involved in building out structures to support the sector from the ground up. Prior to this, he was the Executive Advisor for Microfinance, Personal Loans and Middle Markets to the Chairman of Banque du Caire. He has also held the post of SME Assistant to Egypt’s Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade.
Amro completed his post graduate studies at both the ICMA Center, University of Reading in the UK and The London Business School. Amro received his BA from Cairo University’s Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
