Mohamed Elnawawy brings in a wealth of experience from the Telecom and IT industries in addition to his legal expertise. Mohamed has been working as a lawyer since 2016.
Prior to that, Mohamed spent 10 years working at Telecom Egypt (TE) where he had served as CEO from 2012 to 2015. During his tenure, he developed TE’s distributed operational model, pursued licensing for offering TE customers total telecoms, grew revenue 25%, quadrupled annual customer installations, and commissioned 2.5bn of Capex towards modernizing TE access network. He previously served as VP and SVP responsible for wholesale business, international affairs including submarine cables, regulatory affairs including managing TE interests with Telecom Regulators, Competition Authority, and Consumer Protection Authority.
In 2001, Mohamed served as TE Data founding Chairman and Managing Director which, as a TE Group company, was involved in IP Transit and Managed Data services. Originally in 1992, Mohamed co-founded InTouch Communications Services, Egypt’s first ISP and worked there till April 2000 as Chairman and Managing Director.
Mohamed holds a BSc in Computer Science and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the American University in Cairo (AUC), in addition to a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Cairo University.
